The  French competitors dominated the Sprint races in wildwater canoeing again. All in front Marjolaine Hequet who could win her forth world cup race in series just before her teammate Claire Haab and the italian girl Marlene Ricciardi. And so on Marjolaine won also the Overall Worldcup in C1 women category.

After his second place behind the winner Quentin Dazeur (FRA) and closely before Vladimir Slanina (CZE) during the sprint in Vienna the German Normen Weber was excited that he could defend his title as World Cup overall Winner in C1 Men also in 2014.

With an outstanding performance won K1 men sprint world champion Nejc Znidarcic his second sprint race in the world cup season 2014 and could beat the previous leader of world cup Gerhard Schmid who couldn't play his home field advantage with his fifth place. Paul Graton (FRA) and Vid Debeljak (SLO) were on position 2 and 3 in the finals. After 2012 and 2013 Znidarcic won the overall world cup once more.

Fifth place in K1 women was enough to save the world cup winning for Suisse girl Sabine Eichenberger. The Sprint race in Vienna won French Sixtine Malaterre before Czech Klara Padourova and Charlaine Le Corvaisier (FRA) and Sabine Füßer (GER) who both got a bronze medal due to a tie in the finale run.

The German C2 Mathias Nies - Dominik Pesch won the final sprint race and the overall world cup as well.
